ACPC Hosts Family Science Night

Harold Bargo is watching Bodie Lewis create his own planet.  After hearing the two Lindsey students talk about our solar system, students were given a styrofoam ball and told to create a planet by painting the styrofoam ball.2Samantha Cundiff was conducting the station on root systems.  Students took the white looking tube which was a paper towel, stuck it in brown rice and then poured green water on the rice.  The student could then see capillary action with the green water going up just as roots have capillary action to carry water to a plant.2

This station was titled "Starry Night" and it had the student using a flashlight to see different  constellations in a diorama (darkened shoe box).  The Lindsey student is Alix Castillo and ACPC student is Clara Kotter.
