I am so excited that your child is going to be in my class! I know that teachers and students aren’t the only ones that get nervous for the beginning of school, so I thought I would let you know a little about myself so that it doesn’t feel like you are sending your child to a complete stranger!
My name is Samantha Rich and this will be my fourth year as a full-time teacher. I started as a Kindergarten Interventionist right after graduating from Lindsey Wilson College with an Elementary Education Degree. I taught for two years in First grade and this will be my second year in Fourth Grade!!
I am happily married to my high school sweetheart, we have been together for eleven years and married for four! He is a Special Education teacher at Adair County High school as well as a youth pastor. We have a rambunctious one and a half year old. Daxon!
My greatest passion in life is kids, that is simply why I teach. It is my calling as well as my hobby. I have worked with kids from all walks of life. I have worked with kids locally since high school doing summer camps as well as volunteering in the schools. I have worked with kids in the West End of Louisville during a Summer internship. I have also worked with kids internationally on a hand full of mission trips that I have led to the Dominican Republic where I have left a piece of my heart!
My goal this year is to take your child’s potential and help them reach their max all while pouring love and kindness into them. I am so happy to be teaming up with you this year to watch your child grow! Know that I am always available for any questions, concerns, or suggestions that you may have! I can’t wait to rock this school year with your child!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Samantha Rich
