Rodney Morgeson

I would like to welcome you to Adair County Middle School's web page.  At ACMS we are committed to our mission of Always Challenging Middle School Students to Succeed!    We want every student at ACMS to reach his/her highest potential.  We strive to offer opportunities for students to challenge themselves!

To assit with giving opportunitites, we continued this year with our extension classes and a 7-period day.  All students are enrolled in reading, math, social studies, science, and arts/humanities.  In addition, there are two class periods that students may choose to extend their learning by taking chorus, Jr Cadet Corp, Duo-Lingo, CSI, History through Literature, History through Movies, Chemistry, StoryMaker, WebPage Design, Political Cartoons, PopCulture, and Ag...just to name a few!  Students who need additional assistance in reading and math are assigned to an additional study skills class for reading/math during extension times.

Students have the opportunity to explore new areas during clubs as well.  BETA, Chess, Art, FFA, and Yearbook are only a few of the clubs offered either during or after school at ACMS.   Clubs meeting during school hours do so the last Friday of each month during 7th period.

Students may also get involved with extra-curricular activites such as volleyball, basketball, baseball, softball, football, cheerleading, track, and/or swimming.  Students also have a chance to be part of the 4H Leadership team, shooting sports team, and other activites offered through the Adair County Extension 4H Services.

We are committed to excellence in all areas:  academics, attendance, and extra-curricular activities.

We welcome parents, grandparents, and community members into our school as volunteers and partners in helping our students be successful both in and out of the classroom!
