Hello, sixth graders! I am so excited to be your teacher this year at ACMS. This year, I am teaching World Geography & Cultures.
I look forward to getting to know my students and developing a learning community with them. As questions or matters that need my attention arise throughout the school year, please feel free to share them with me at your convenience.
I have lived in Adair County most of my life, but spent the first 5 1/2 years of my teaching career teaching Language Arts and Social Studies at Northern Middle School in Pulaski County, Kentucky. I grew up in Kentucky, but have lived in Florida, North Carolina, and Okinawa, Japan. My husband was in the Marine Corps for 9 1/2 years, so we got to travel a great deal.
I graduated from Lindsey Wilson College in 2008 with a middle school teaching degree in Language Arts and Social Science. I completed coursework for my Masters degree at University of the Cumberlands in 2012. My husband and I have three boys, Chance, Chad, and Brett. On those rare occasions when I get a free moment, I like to read or work on any type of craft project. I'm so happy to be at ACMS, and know it will be terrific!
