SUPPLIES – TO BE BROUGHT TO CLASS AND USED DAILY!!

          Paper

          Pens or pencils (#2 pencils required for tests)

          Wire bound single subject notebook JUST for Biology

Do NOT ask to leave class unless it is a dire emergency.  You have a five minute break before class, use it wisely.  There are no bathroom breaks!!

Late Work:   All tests, labs and quizzes will be made up during TRP or after school (ERF is the best day to get caught up, if you have EXCUSED absences.) 

Grades – Daily work will comprise 10% of the nine weeks grade, tests will comprise 55% of the nine weeks grade, quizzes will count as 15% of the nine weeks grade and labs will count as 20% of the nine weeks grade.  Writing assignments count as test grades.  The cumulative exam will count 20% of the final grade (this covers the entire course content). 

Discipline – I hope you will choose to act properly in class and abide by all safety rules.  Any IMPROPER behavior will result in you being removed from class. 

ELECTRIC DEVICES – Cell phones, iPods or other electronic devices will be collected on a daily basis.  Refusal to comply leads to immediate disciplinary action. 

Expectations – Good behavior, good attendance, attentiveness, & organization are essential.

Class work will be a combination of NOTES/LECTURE, LABS, BOOKWORK, WORKSHEETS, MEDIA MATERIAL…  Notes are MANDATORY, not an option.  They are your best friend come test time as the majority of the quizzes/exams come from the material in your notes.

Videos and other media material will be used to supplement content material.  There will be NO sleeping/heads on desk during videos.  You will be dismissed from class if you choose NOT to pay attention.

ALLERGIES/MEDICAL CONDITIONS - If you have any allergies or medical conditions, please discuss them with me and mark them on your safety contract.
