Three Adair County Primary Center students were recognized in front of their peers Tuesday morning for their efforts in a photography contest hosted by Forward in the Fifth, a nonprofit organization that aims to promote education in southern and eastern Kentucky. Students from 43 counties were eligible to participate in the contest, but Adair County nabbed the top three spots, with Laramie Baldwin, David Boyd, and Ty Burwash finishing first, second, and third, respectively.
Baldwin won a two-in-one tablet for her efforts, while Boyd and Burwash each took home certificates and iTunes gift cards. Lauren Kinser and Jim Tackett handed out the awards on behalf of Forward in the Fifth.
