On Friday, November 19th, eigth grade reading students at ACMS put themselves in the shoes of those who experienced the effects of the Holocaust after reading the novel "Ellie Wiesel". Putting on the Star of David and being renamed using an I.D. number, students received a small taste of the mistreatment of the Jewish people during this time. Within reason, these students received different treatment, being placed by themselves and forced to do undesirable jobs around the school. Ultimately, students learned respect and honor for the people effected during this unimaginable, horrible time. Thanks to Mrs. Cindy Walker for setting up this amazing activity and learning experience. Lives have been changed.
