The first weeks of school have provided some great learning experiences for students as well as some time for them to shine! Here are few things students have experienced thus far:
2017 Solar Eclipse
ACMS students were given the great opportunity to view the 2017 solar eclipse first hand. Science classes discussed eclipses and why they happen. Students also created personal eclipse viewing devices called pinhole projectors that allow them to safely view the eclipse.
Mark Twain Band Exhibition
While the marching band program is often viewed as a high school extra-curricular, many of our middle school students receive the opportunity to participate as well. Last weekend, Adair County hosted the Mark Twain marching band exhibition where bands from accross the state get to demonstrate their skill. This particular event was not a competition. However, bands were still judged and received construtive criticism.
MAP testing has begun across the board! The data gathered from this test provide educators with valuable knowledge that is to be used to better educate your students!
