Adair County Middle School sixth grade students Jessica Hamlett and Mirah Murphy were recently announced regional winners in the “I Love My Public School” campaign.
Murphy, the daughter of Sheila and Marion Murphy, wrote an essay about why she loves ACMS. Hamlett, the daughter of Sharon and Richard Hamlett, created a sketch signifying what she likes most about the school. The students received $25 checks, presented by the Adair County Education Association, the Middle Cumberland Education Association, and the Kentucky Education Association.
The essay and sketch are currently displayed at the state capitol in Frankfort along with other winners from across Kentucky.
