Adair County High School will continue offering extended school services for the remainder of year. Students will be able to attend at their own request or upon a parent or teacher recommendation. If a student wishes to attend he/she must see Mrs. Pierce in room 149a prior to attending. This service is offered for students who are at risk of failing, who have been absent and need instruction on missed content, or who need additional instruction to grasp the content presented in the classroom. We ask that you encourage your children to speak to their teachers prior to the tutoring sessions, so they will be prepared with the materials that will be needed for the instruction in these sessions. The ESS Program supports the common goal of helping our children be successful.
Extended school services are available every Tuesday afternoon from 3:00 to 4:00 for Math, every Wednesday from 3:00-4:00 for all subject areas, and every Thursday afternoon from 3:00 to 4:00 for Science until the end of the year.Extended school services will also be available beginning January 20th through April 28th on Fridays from 1:00-2:45 for Science. Transportation arrangements will need to be provided by guardians for students who will be staying for our tutoring services as the school is unable to accommodate after-school transportation at this time.
Report cards will be sent home the week of January 9th.
If you have questions about the program or would like for your child to attend, please contact our ESS coordinator, Tracey Pierce, at 270-384-2751 ext. 6151.
